Smoke and Bones has brought another prestigous award from down south back to Canada.Our brisket finished in the top three against the very best in the $50,000 Alabama BBQ Championship taking place at Talladega, Alabama - October 2010.

We have just received official word that we are invited to compete at the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational BBQ Championship in Lynchburg Tennessee. The most prestigious BBQ competition in the world. We will be in Tennessee to compete the weekend of Ocotber 24th and 25th. Click the logo above to see more about this event.

2009 Canadian National Grand Champions!

Smoke And Bones BBQ has won not one but both of the big awards at the 2009 Canadian National BBQ Championships in Whistler on August long weekend. This was no easy task with 39 of the best teams from Canada and the US battling it out for two major awards. The first being the Ravens Wood Cork and Pork competition which required the teams to prepare their pulled pork, which was barbecued for up to 18 hours, to compliment a Zinfandel, from Ravens Wood of California. Smoke and Bones winning entry was selected from a group of judges and sommeliers then awarded as Grand Champ. This was a winner take all category with the prize being a trip for two to the Ravens Wood vineyard in Sonoma California. The next big event was the “big one”. The Canadian National BBQ Championships which consisted of Pork Shoulder, Beef Brisket, Chicken, and Pork Ribs. All four categories are professionally judged and scored with the highest scoring team being crowned Grand Champion. Smoke and Bones BBQ was awarded Grand Champ and walked away with prize money, a Primo ceramic BBQ, and trip for two to Jamaica. The Grand Champions also received an invite to the Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational BBQ event in Lynchburg, Tennessee, the most prestigious BBQ competition on the planet.  Grand Champ status also is a draw qualifier for the American Royal World Championships in Kansas City. Smoke And Bones BBQ is only the third Canadian team to win the championship.

We have won two more awards in BBQ competition!

Our pulled pork and our ribs won ribbon's in The BC Festival Of Barbecue And Chili at the River Rock Casino on June 6th and 7th 2009.

 

We have won two more awards in BBQ competition!

Our pulled pork and brisket won ribbon's at  The Washington State BBQ Championships April 4th and 5th 2009, at the world famous Pike Place Market in Seattle.

 

We have won another award in BBQ competition!

Our pulled pork won a ribbon at  The Canadian National BBQ Championships in Whistler August 2nd.

We have won another award in BBQ competition!

Our brisket won a ribbon at the Canadian Festival Of Barbecue And Chili at the Eat Vancouver Fair which took place May 23rd-25th 2008.

 

We have won another award in BBQ competition!

Our chicken won a ribbon at the Washington State BBQ Championships March 29th and 30th, at the world famous Pike Place Market in Seattle.

We have won award winning ribs in the rib category at the Canadian National BBQ Championships in Whistler August 3rd-5th!
